Ingrooves Music Group, founded in San Francisco in 2002, is a global independent music marketing service and distribution company, which provides custom services for artists and independent record labels, owned by Universal Music Group.
The company's three divisions include distribution services, rights management services, rights removal, and artist services. They utilize proprietary distribution systems and maintain a focus on analytics and reporting technologies. In 2008, Universal Music Group selected Ingrooves's parent company, Isolation Network Inc., to digitally distribute all of its music in North America. In 2010, Shamrock Capital—an investment fund founded by Roy E. Disney—made a significant investment in the company, which allowed Ingrooves to acquire Fontana Distribution in 2012. Ingrooves subsequently expanded its services to include physical distribution.
On February 12, 2019, Universal Music Group acquired the remaining shares of the company. Two years later, in early 2021, UMG reorganized the Ingrooves Music Group and made it a subsidiary of Virgin Music, as part of the rebranding of Caroline Distribution into Virgin Music Label & Artist Services. In 2023, Ingrooves and Virgin Music were both absorbed into Virgin Music Group to deflect on the envision of UMG's independent music circuit.
