British affiliate of Pathé Marconi EMI, operating between 1911 and 1928.
The roots however date back to 1902, when the first Pathé activities started in Britain as Pathe Freres London Ltd. under the management of Soury Et Cie. and independently of the French company.
In March 1917 Pathe moved their offices to City Road, the former home of the Diamond Disc Record Ltd., and which included a recording studio.
Since July 1917 all Pathé products in England were manufactured in a factory in West Drayton, Middlesex. Because the plant could not be enlarged, the company moved to Stonebridge Park, London in 1920.
In December 1928 the French parent was sold to the Columbia Graphophone Co. Ltd. of London and subsequently, the British company and its assets was absorbed as well.
The Stonebridge plant was sold by Columbia to The British Homophone Co. Ltd in 1929.
