US record label (1923-1929).
Records were produced by the Cameo Record Corporation for The Lincoln Record Corporation (249 West 34th Street, New York), a Cameo subsidiary. This was a budget priced label (initially 50 cents, then 35 cents). Following the merger of Cameo with Pathé Marconi EMI in October, 1927, Lincoln began issuing Pathé material, some recorded as early as 1919. The label was discontinued after Cameo/Pathé merged with the Regal Record Company, Inc. to form the American Record Corporation in July, 1929.
