Vinyl pressing, mastering and printing plant, located in Ikeja, Lagos.
Started in 1969 and originally wholly owned by Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. (EMI), it later became known as the pressing plant of Decca (West Africa) Limited. Other major stakeholders at that time were EMI (Nigeria) Ltd. (10%), EMI UK (20%), Decca UK (20%) plus various Nigerian companies (good for 35%).
In 1979 the plant operated 20 presses. Vinyl pressing lasted into the mid 1990s.
Company name may appear on releases as "Record Manufacturers of Nigeria Ltd." or "RMNL" or "RMN Ltd." only. Occasionally "RMNL" appears etched in the runouts of releases.
