American mastering/recording studio of Hank Waring, opened in 1964 in Hollywood, California. It became famous for mastering artists including Steppenwolf, Buffalo Springfield, Iron Butterfly, Deep Purple and Three Dog Night (to name a few). Around 1975, Hank changed the name to Quad Teck.

A DCT mastering can be identified by "DCT" in the runout. Very rarely did the early mastering engineers add their initials. After Mike Reese moved to The Mastering Lab, where engineers scribed their initials, it became standard practice at DCT and every independent cutting facility in Hollywood. Many established their logo as a die to stamp the dead wax area of the master. And as the size of the independent cutting houses grew, most began to add a letter or digit to identify on which lathe or in which studio the cutting was done. Pressing was outsourced to a third-party company, including Rainbo Records and Monarch Record Mfg. Co.
