Saturn, Canada

Saturn was a Canadian-headquartered disc manufacturing and supply chain management company that also operated in Ireland and the US. Founded in 1983 in Montreal as Saturn Solutions, the company originally offered magnetic tape and diskette replication services. Saturn expanded into Ireland in 1994 and opened its first CD factory in Dublin in 1996 (see Saturn, Ireland). A local CD factory was opened in Montreal in 1997, and finally a third in Orem, UT, USA in 2000 (Saturn, USA).

It was announced in March 2004 that the Canadian company Saturn (Solutions) Inc. (based in Toronto) had been acquired by Inoveris LLC (Inoveris), but separate reports in April stated that some equipment from Saturn had been acquired by Lemmedia Inc. (aka Zanin). Zanin later operated out of Saturn's manufacturing facility in Montreal with the same SID codes, so it appears that Lemmedia/Zanin took over ownership of the Montreal manufacturing facility and its equipment while Inoveris took over the Toronto business.
