Sony DADC Japan

Manufacturing division of Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. established April 1, 2009 (renamed from Sony Music Manufacturing Inc.). Operated under this name until April 2019 when it was absorbed into Sony Music Solutions Inc.. Sony DADC Japan produced CDs, DVDs, SACDs, Blu-rays, after 2018 also Vinyl.

Optical discs by Sony DADC Japan can be identified by mastering SID codes IFPI L27* and L280, usually in conjunction with mould SID codes IFPI 45**. Matrices contain either a label catalog number or a plant job number/sequential code, and a single digit master number. All discs with above mastering SID codes made between April 2009 and April 2019 can be credited with "Glass Mastered At" in LCCN.

Sony DADC Japan sequential codes appear with the following four letter matrix prefixes:

PRCS- (CD)
PRDS- (CD)
TGGS- (SACD)
VQBY- (Blu-ray)
These prefixes are followed by numbers in two to four digit format, sometimes ending with suffix "X". When one of those prefixes is present in matrix, the code can be added as a catalog number for Sony DADC Japan. Please only enter the "____-xxxx(X)" part of the string.
