The third of the Record Plant Studios, opened in 1973 at 2200 Bridgeway, Sausalito by Gary Kellgren; also appears as Record Plant, San Francisco. In 1983 the studio changed ownership and was renamed simply [url=https://www.discogs.com/label/270464-The-Plant-Studios]The Plant[/url]. Like the two other Record Plant studios, it had a mobile unit for location recordings, Record Plant Remote Truck, Sausalito.
The location, at 2200 Bridgeway, closed in 2008.
The studio is currently being rehabilitated with plans to reopen.
