National Plastics Ltd. was a UK company formed in 1947 to amalgamate the interests of De La Rue Plastics Ltd. and Moulded Products Ltd.
Initially based in Tyburn, Birmingham, a second location was established on Walthamstow Avenue, London E4 in 1953. This Walthamstow plant manufactured shellac 78s (from January 1953), 10" & 12" vinyl LPs (from July 1954) and 7" vinyl EPs (from September 1955) for Philips Electrical Ltd., until the Record Pressers Ltd. pressing plant was established in an adjacent building and record manufacture transferred there in July 1957.
Also referred to as National Plastics Company.
