Radio Recorders, Inc. was a recording studio based in Los Angeles, California, USA. Founded in 1933, the studios were originally located at 932 N. Western Ave. and moved in 1949 to 7000 Santa Monica Blvd, occupying the Victor Talking Machine Co. studios built in 1929. Closed Dec. 30, 1977. Site was later home to [l283225], Rock Steady and Studio 56. Operated as Radio Recorders again from 2002 to 2008.
Artists known to have recorded here include Charlie Parker, Jimmie Rodgers, Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, and The Carpenters among others. In its prime, the studio was known as the best recording facility in Los Angeles.
