SSD (Southern Star Duplitek) was an Australian video cassette and optical disc manufacturer active until March 2002.

Southern Star Duplitek, based in Alexandria (a suburb of Sydney), was the manufacturing subsidiary of the Southern Star Group Ltd., which first listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1996 (although the Southern Star Duplitek name and plant were active prior to 1996). As a producer of cassette tapes, then CDs and DVDs, it was one of three wholly owned Australian divisions, the others being Southern Star Entertainment & Southern Star International. In August 2000, Technicolor invested a 37 per cent stake in SSD with an option for further future investment. In turn, this allowed SSD to buy out PMI (Pacific Mirror Image), taking over their plant at Braeside, Victoria. On 31 March 2002, Technicolor exercised its option to take full ownership of the company and bought out Southern Star Group Ltd.'s stake in SSD, after which time the manufacturing plants operated as Technicolor, Australia.
