AREA

AREA - French distributor founded 1946 by E.W. Pelgrims de Bigard. Main distributor for RCA releases in France. Operating under this name from 1946 until the merger with the manufacturing division A.C.E.M. to become A.R.E.A.C.E.M. in May 1971. Originally located in Paris then moved to Choisy-le-Roi.
A.R.E.A. means "Applications et réalisations électriques et acoustiques".
