Record label founded by producer Tom Wilson in Cambridge, Mass in 1955 to promote neglected musicians which mainly recording jazz, although Wilson also hoped to record folk and classical music as well. About fifteen releases were issued during the label's existence, including the first LPs by Sun Ra and Cecil Taylor, but others were released by Blue Note and Delmark Records after Wilson wound up the label in 1957.
