WEA Records (Pty) Ltd.

South African record company credited for manufacturing, distribution and marketing that was opened in late 1975 as a joint venture with Teal Record Company Ltd. and Derek Hannan as Managing Director. In 1986 they were forced to withdraw from the country for political reasons, and Tusk Music Co. (Pty) Ltd. was formed in its wake.
Do not confuse with its Australian counterpart, WEA Records Pty. Limited!
