Playerphone

U.S. record label, ca. 1916-17. This was a short-lived vertical-cut product that was manufactured by the Rex Talking Machine Corporation for The Playerphone Talking Machine Co. The few known releases use couplings and catalog numbers that are identical to those of corresponding Rex Record releases. Playerphone appears in the 1916 Talking Machine World Trade Directory, but is absent from the 1917 and subsequent editions.
