Sonic Arts was owned by [a589425] and located on the same premises as his recording studio [l297872]. It also acted as a label which released an experimental series called the [l449672]. The studio was equipped with a Neumann lathe with variable pitch and depth control controlled with digital computer and VG66 cutting amp. Direct-to-disc recordings were also offered.
Cuts can be recognized by a symbol in the runouts that looks like the outline of a dash with protruding curves in the center (like ⊏◯⊐), or a larger dot in the middle of the dash. Usually there will be "SACC" or "SAC" or "SA" etched in the string as well.
