Real Name: Thomas Harper Ince

American director (Newport, 6 november 1882 - Hollywood, 19 november 1924). He was also producer and supervisor for movies directed by Reginald Barker, [A=Frank Borzage], [A=Henry King], [A=Fred Niblo], Rowland V. Lee, Lambert Hillyer, [A=Jack Conway], William A. Seiter. He is, with David Dwark Griffith, not only one of the most important director for the American movies industry ever, but also a father for the worlwide's cinema. Among his best movies : The Squaw (1912), A Woman of the East (1912), Custer Last Figth (1913), Battle of Gettysburg (1913), The Wrath of Gods (1913), The Typhoon (1914). The causes of his premature death, at the age of 42 from blood poisoning, remain uncertain to this day.
