Gerald Newson

New Zealander classical and jazz double bassist. Born in 1943 in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Former longtime member of the London Symphony Orchestra (1968-2008). Prior to moving to London in 1967, he was a member of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. He retired in December 2008.
