Real Name: Bernard Alexander

American guitarist, composer and record producer born on 1 September 1949 in Dayton, Ohio (USA). Most famous as Skip McDonald and as (frontman of) Little Axe. As a manager he has worked with Def Squad and DAS Communications. Using the McDonald pseudonym he has worked very closely with bassist Doug Wimbish and drummer Keith LeBlanc, whom he met in the 1970s. First in Wood, Brass & Steel, from 1979 onwards in the Sugarhill Gang Band (the house band for Sugarhill Records), later still on various On-U Sound projects such as Fats Comet and Tackhead.
