Started his career in the mid 1960's as gofer, studio booker, arranger, assistant to songwriter Geoff Stephens and sometimes piano player on demos. Then worked as tape op for Rymuse Studio and Pye Studios and then as mastering engineer. Richard was instrumental in the purchase the Sound Factory studio in Hollywood LA for Tutti Camarata at Sunset Sound in 1980 and was the Founder and Owner of Audio FX in the UK and Europe from 1983 -.1992 supplying rental equipment to major studios and artists He was in the production partnership Goldfish Productions.
