Real Name: Michel Godard

French jazz tuba and serpent player, born on October 3, 1960 in Héricourt, Haute-Saône, France. At 18, he was a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio-France. He has also been member of the French National Jazz Orchestra. Godard studied classical trumpet at the music conservatorium in Besançon and Paris. He was looking for music for tuba and found the album „Bush Baby“ of Bob Stewart and Arthur Blythe. That was the entry into jazz and improvised music for him. Godard has participated in projects with Rabih Abou-Khalil, Michel Portal, Louis Sclavis, Airelle Besson, Enrico Rava, Gianluigi Trovesi, Christof Lauer, Günter „Baby“ Sommer, Pierre Favre, Luciano Biondini, Vincent Courtois.
