Carmen Murphy

Carmen Murphy (née Caver) was born on October 20, 1915 in a small town just outside of Little Rock, AR. At the age of 19 she married a Pediatrician, Scipio Murphy, and they moved to Detroit.
Founded the Detroit record labels, [l222279], [l129035] (which stood for House Of Beauty), [l710575] (the name of which was later sold to Berry Gordy of Motown), and [l255191].
