Real Name: John Morris Koenig

American producer, musician (cello, bass), audio engineer and producer.
Born May 9, 1950
Son of Lester Koenig, founder of Contemporary Records, a jazz label. Initially a blues guitarist, he switched to the cello and was tutored in master classes by [a896978]. After embarking on a career as a classical cellist and briefly with the Swedish Radio Symphony, he abandoned this path after his father died. He ran Contemporary before selling the company to Fantasy, Inc. in 1984. Around this time, having been affected by the legal issues resolving his father's estate (which took seven years to resolve), he changed career path again with the intention of become a lawyer. In 1987, he graduated from U.S.C. Law School. After establishing a small entertainment law practice in 1990, he resumed producing records and later in the decade, he started writing music for films.
