Co-founder (with Matthias Winckelmann) of the German labels Enja Records in 1971 and [l197587] in 1988. For a few years from 1986, Enja functioned as two autonomous companies, see Enja Records Horst Weber GmbH for Weber's issues.
Sometimes credited (with Matthias Winckelmann) as 'Weber / Winckelmann' in jazz album cover design credits.
