Swedish influential recording and mastering engineer, born August 31, 1929 in Växjö, died December 25, 2013 in Stockholm.
He's the father of mastering engineer Claes Persson and drummer / engineer Magnus Persson (7).
He worked as chief engineer at Metronome Studio, Stockholm between 1954-1980 and in 1960 he was one of the first Swedish engineers to do high-quality stereo recordings. Persson left Metronome in 1980 (after its takeover by Warner) to do freelance engineering work. Depending on the studio, his signature in runout can be MS/RP or CR/RP, then use only RP as the ANV.
