Real Name: Joseph Lyman Potts

Canadian broadcaster, producer and record company executive. Born Nov. 11 1916 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Died December 9 2018. Started broadcasting career in 1932 while still in high school. Active in the founding of Quality Records Limited. A tireless promoter of Canadian talent, he founded Canadian Talent Library and [l1173193] in 1962 and was instrumental in the creation of Canadian Content regulations.

Inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (1976) and to the CAB Broadcast Hall of Fame (1987). In 1978 was inducted into the Order of Canada, in 2002 received Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee Medal, and in 2012, Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee Medal.
