Real Name: Thomas Blanchard Wilson Jr.

American record producer.
Born March 25, 1931 in Waco, Texas
Died September 6, 1978 in Los Angeles, California
Best known for his work in the 1960s with Teri Thornton, Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, Simon & Garfunkel and The Velvet Underground.

Wilson started the Harvard New Jazz Society in 1953 and founded Transition Records in 1955, mainly a jazz label which lasted until 1957. He was also a jazz lecturer during this time and supervised many jazz concerts and seminars.
In December 1958, he joined the A & R staff at United Artists Records to produce jazz LP's. Later, he A&R'd at Audio Fidelity where he started their subsidiary Dauntless, and in 1967 he started Rasputin Production who produced releases for ABC Records.
