Manfred Schütz

Music industry professional (record store owner, founder of record companies).
Born: July 5, 1950 in Bamberg, Germany and lived in Hannover since 1959.
Died: January 3, 2025.

Schütz opened his first small record store in 1974 and later other ones in different German cities. He is mostly known as the founder of distribution / record companies Boots Plattenladen / Boots (5) (1980-1984) and SPV GmbH (since 1984), and more recently [l347621]. In 1979, focus was shifted to distribution companies parallel with retail, and a change to production and distribution in 1983, that lead to the important distributor SPV GmbH in 1984.
