Tanzmuzik
Japanese techno band. The two main members were Akio Yamamoto and Okihide Sawaki, later joined by Daishi Hisakawa, who was active in ARM until 1997.
The band was formed in 1993. The band was centered in Osaka, and debuted in the same year with the release of the single “Muzikanova” on Torema Records, a label led by Fumiya Tanaka, which was also based in Osaka.
In 1994, the band released the single “Tan Tangue” and their debut album “Sinsekai” on the label Rising High Records. Rising High was known as one of Japan's top three techno labels at the time, so the release received a lot of attention from the Japanese techno dance music community.
After the release of Rising High's album, the band released a new album under the name AKIO/OKIHIDE through Sublime Records in 1995, but the members gradually began to focus on their solo activities, and their second album "Version City Hi-Lights" was released in 1998, featuring a variety of songs by the members.
