Real Name: Brenda Joy Nelson

B.J. Nelson began singing in the late '60's in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA fronting a band called "Insane Soul." She moved to New York in 1979 and after becoming a member of T.M. Stevens' band, "T-Bird". During her time with T-Bird, B.J. met guitarist [a276894], which led to her becoming a member of Nona Hendryx' band. She has also worked with Duran Duran, Power Station, Will Downing and Robert Palmer and Scritti Politti.
