American producer known for his work with artists such as Lenny Bruce, John McLaughlin and The Last Poets. Ran United Artists Records' jazz department from 1960 to 1964, worked for [l195994] from 1964 to 1965 (when the label folded) and established Douglas around 1967. Worked with Jimi Hendrix towards the end of his career, but the posthumous releases he supervised became controversial, and the Hendrix estate eventually regained rights to the masters. Brother of [a6788948].

Note: Not to be confuse with the Scottish-born engineer Alan Douglas.
