The Underground

Real Name: Rick Van Breugel

Rick chose this artist name for 2 12inch records because he was DJ in a well known Dutch club called "The Underground" in Rotterdam together with DJ Milton.
Rick started spinning music for a dancing crowd at the very early age of 12 (in 1978). When he finished school he started to spin records in Parkzicht Rotterdam (together with DJ Rob, DJ Ludie (aka MC Joe) and Dj Stanton) and he signed up as a producer at Stealth Records. Ever since then he made over 70 12-inches, remixes and a few albums for different labels.
He worked together with Maurits Paardekoper as remix duo Exposure and they immediately had success with tracks like; Deep Inside Of Me (by TFX), (Got to be) Free (by Deborah Wilson), Alright To Love (By Hex) and New York New York (by Soup). Rick works a lot with other artists, for example he helped DJ Sander Kleinenberg producing his first record.
Some of his latest records are made together with DJ David Vunk and DJ Seutek and they call themselves the band Pussycat.
