Acid Jazz Records
British label, established in 1987 by Eddie Piller with Gilles Peterson (who left in 1989 to form Talkin' Loud). Dean Rudland also managed the label in the early years. The name of the label was a tongue-in-cheek response to the 'acid house' explosion of the late 1980s. The label rapidly began producing records that, although often containing very little 'jazz' and even less 'acid', became the ultimate symbol of 1990s chic. via Discogs →
