German Shellac label launched by Favorite GmbH in 1905; also appears as Favorite Record.

Favorite Record was one of several labels manufactured in Germany and marketed in England prior to World War I by the German-owned Fonotipia company, a subsidiary of Carl Lindström A.-G.

Around 1910, Favorite records entered a deal with the Brazilian firm Casa Faulhaber & Co. for the pressing of local recordings.

In 1913 the label was acquired by Carl Lindström A.-G.. In the 1920s, the label began to release not only its own recordings, but also matrices produced by the American Okeh label.

In 1926, the Favorite label was discontinued, but some of its matrices were reissued under the Parlophone label.
