UK Street Beats (or Streetbeats as it was referred to internally as well) was formed in early 1994 by Phil Wells at the Record Basement in Reading (the shop front to Vinyl Distribution), as a platform for the three most ground-breaking drum and bass artists of the time; Truper (aka Photek), Oblivion (aka Source Direct) and Peshay.
