Australia branch of Columbia Graphophone Company Ltd. established 1925 in Homebush, Sydney. (Later reregistered as a proprietary company Columbia Graphophone (Aust.) Pty. Ltd.. circa 1937) In 1926 established the first recording studios in Australia at their Homebush factory.

In 1931 Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. (EMI) is formed through the merger of parent Columbia Graphophone Company Ltd. and The Gramophone Co. Ltd. Following the merger the operations of Columbia Graphophone (Aust.) Ltd. and The Gramophone Co. Ltd. are brought together under one administrative control with the record production operations of both companies being centralised at Homebush. During the war years the Homebush factory undertook extensive work on electronic devices for the Australian services and the output of the factory provided an important contribution to the Australian defence effort. 

Columbia Graphophone (Aust.) Ltd. was merged into EMI (Australia) Limited in 1957.
