Perlon
[b]Perlon[/b] is a minimal techno/microhouse record label, founded in 1997 by [a=Markus Nikolai], [a=Thomas Franzmann] ([a=Zip]) and [a=Chris Rehberger] at Frankfurt and currently based in Berlin. It is often recognized as one of the genre-defining labels in the world of minimalistic and experimental techno. All releases on Perlon are physical only (vinyl and CD), not available for downloading.

Perlon catalog includes such artists as [a=Ricardo Villalobos], [a=Baby Ford], [a=Stefan Goldmann], [a=Akufen], [a=Pantytec], [a=Dandy Jack], [a=A Guy Called Gerald], [a=Wareika] and many others. The label famously never accepts demos. The name of the label came from Nikolai. Originally it was a working title for one of the albums of [a=Pile], his project with Zip and graphic designer [a=Chris Rehberger], who later created famous Perlon logo and designed covers for a number of their releases.
[b]PERL 11[/b] (1999) is a Perlon t-shirt, the only non-musical release.
