The label's use of the Marlboro logo is often mistakenly believed to be unofficial, but it was part of an official brand diversification program by Philip Morris Germany. Initially Marlboro Music focused on the rock genre before shifting focus in the mid 1990s with the release of the [l495793] series. They also partnered with English label [l111] on several releases for the German market. Graphic design was handled by [a1889423].
