US label, also appears as "Pacific Jazz Records" on sleeves.
Label Code: LC 0770 / LC 00770
West Coast Jazz label used from ~1952 to 1957 and record company founded by jazz producer Richard Bock and jazz drummer Roy Harte. In the first week of July 1957, they launched their lower priced jazz line "Mark IV" which started with [r5123554]. The series is seen in the watermark on the label. It appears to only have lasted for two albums (ending with [r7029816]), most likely due to the restructuring under World Pacific Records. The catalog of Pacific Jazz was reissued on World Pacific Records through the Pacific Jazz Series between 1957 and 1960. Reactivated in 1960 and acquired by Liberty Records/Liberty Records, Inc. in 1965. Often associated to the label World Pacific Jazz in the late 60s (a division of Liberty/U.A. Inc.). Consider adding both labels if they appear on the release.
The label was revived in the early 90s by Capitol Records, Inc. and sometimes carry the notation "A Blue Note Label".
