WEA
WEA is an acronym for Warner Elektra Atlantic. The acronym was introduced in early 1972 when [l=Warner Communications]' international music division [l640338] was renamed [l1255]. All subsidiary companies outside the US eventually changed their names accordingly - compare for example [l303518] and [l43315], [l266134] and [l264092], or [l277851] and [l43012].
As a label, WEA was introduced in some markets in the late 1970s.
