Italian record company, a.k.a. CBS Sugar or CBS Sugar Compagnia Generale Del Disco S.p.A.
The company was established in 1970 through the merger of CBS Italiana S.p.A. and Sugar Music with the subsidiary label CGD.
CBS Sugar S.p.A. managed the manufacturing, promotion and distribution of CBS releases in Italy, along with the running of its own sub-labels, among which CGD, Bus Production, VIP and Derby.
In 1977 the company was split up. CBS established CBS Dischi S.p.A. and Sugar returned to the CGD brand with CGD Messaggerie Musicali S.p.A.
