Label created and owned by . The label was launched in 1971 when the Rolling Stones signed with the Kinney group. It was distributed in the U.S. by ATCO, then Atlantic. In the rest of the world, it was distributed by Kinney, then WEA's affiliated companies until 1978. In 1978, the label moved to EMI for the world outside North America, with this deal lasting until 1986. It remained with Atlantic in North America.
