Originally built in 191x as a movie theatre.
This mastering/recording studio was built by Glenn Snoddy approximately 1969.
A second mastering room was built by Westlake Audio in 1974, equipped with a Neumann VMS 70 lathe, a Neumann SAL 74 amplifier rack and Studer playback machines.

Lee Hazen and Bob Sowell (RFS) worked there in the beginning.
[a413880], [a522253] and James Pugh were engineers active in 1970.
Denny Purcell (DP) worked there as mastering engineer from 1974 to 1985. (Please notice in runout non-capitalized 𝒹𝑒𝓃𝓃𝓎 / denny, is often mistaken for Jenny)
[a258905] worked there as an engineer from 1978.
Hank Williams (2) worked there as mastering engineer from 1973 to 1983.
Jim Loyd worked there as mastering engineer.
Tom Semmes was also known to work as mastering engineer (TS etched in matrix).

Bought by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings in 2002.

The front section of the building once housed the operation of [l295648] and its labels. This front space currently serves as the office of [l56416], the label of Welch and Rawlings.
