Afterlife Recordz

US independent hip hop record label, formed as Afterlife Entertainment in 1993,
by a collective of young artists out of South Central Los Angeles, CA.
Prior to launching Afterlife, these artists honed their craft and sharpened their lyrical and musical skills at the renowned Good Life Cafe, located in Crenshaw, Los Angeles. Eventually, some of the artists of The Good Life independently produced "Project Blowed" featuring more than a dozen local emcees and producers. The "Project Blowed" album gave birth to a open mic spot of the same name, originating out of the Kaos Network in Leimert Park, LA.
The collective of young people from The Good Life/Project Blowed family are the foundation of Afterlife Entertainment. Besides, Curbserver.com, a dynamic hip hop cyber-community, is the brainchild of Afterlife Entertainment, focusing on the independent artistry of the west coast urban music scene.
