On 20th Dec 2012 along with parent EMI Records Ltd. the company was sold to PLG Holdco Ltd. (Parlophone Label Group), which was formed as part of the divestment of EMI Group Ltd.'s sale to Vivendi SA.. On the 4th June 2013, Virgin Records Classics Ltd. is renamed Erato Records Classics Ltd..
As of 2018 Erato Records Classics Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Parlophone Records Ltd. , with the Virgin Classics catologue now forming part of Warner Classics.
