AcousTech Mastering

0 releases

AcousTech Mastering opened its doors in 1995 to cater to the audiophile vinyl community. In 1997 they began to expand their services to include CD mastering. In 2010 they closed (though some titles were not released until 2012).

AcousTech Mastering was started as a joint venture between Chad Kassem of Acoustic Sounds and Don MacInnis of Record Technology Incorporated, hence the name AcousTech. Acoustic Sounds sells high quality LPs and has its own label (Analogue Productions). RTI presses high quality LPs. Controlling the mastering process was a natural progression for both companies.

Mastering and cutting equipment used:
Sontec MES-432C EQs,
Ortophon STL-732 de-esser,
Neumann VMS-66 lathe with Technics SP-02 motor, Zuma computer and SX-74 cutterhead.

Engineers known to have worked here are;
Kevin Gray (2001-2010)
