Initially known as being home to the nascent big beat scene leaders like Fatboy Slim, Freq Nasty, Midfield General, Lo-Fidelity Allstars and the Space Raiders, amongst many others. Later the label moved with times into breaks and house music, with artists including X-Press 2, Paolo Mojo, Kidda, Tim Deluxe and Sonny Wharton. Both "Skint" (label name) and "Brassic" (in the album cat#'s) are UK slang words meaning broke or penniless – the opposite to ex-sister label, Loaded Records. via Discogs →
