Blast First

A UK label that specialized in licensing American Noise Rock bands for the British market. It also signed Free Jazz and Avant Garde performers from various countries. Originally set up with support from [a=Rough Trade], it later became a sub-label of [l=Mute] Records. Run by [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/2366783-Paul-Smith-52]Paul Smith[/url] with help from sisters [a=Pat Naylor] and [a=Liz Naylor]. Smith also runs a completely independent label called [l=Blast First Petite] for titles that he likes but Mute's corporate distributors choose not to release.
