In late 1992, as part of the celebration of the relaunch of Salsoul Records, [a=Joe Cayre] and his son, [a=Jack Cayre] formed Double J Records as a "new generation" subsidiary label of Salsoul specializing in targeting the current club/house music market with remixes of the classics from the Salsoul catalog as well as new material from the up-and-coming artists of the time.
