RAK
2 releases
Label formed in 1969 by [a=Mickie Most], which maintained an artist roster that covered many genres. RAK's releases were manufactured, distributed, and marketed via the EMI companies, and it was eventually bought by [l=EMI Records Ltd.] in the late 1987.
Although the label name is often stylized as RAK Records, its name is not an acronym. It's short for "rackjobbing" (selling records in unusual places, such as petrol stations or supermarkets).
